North Augusta High School is helping all students develop the world class skills and life and career characteristics of the profile of the South Carolina graduate by graduating students with the competence to contribute substantially to the world in which we live and to become effective lifelong learners and responsible citizens. To this end, North Augusta High School promotes the development of the skills, knowledge and personal qualities that characterize a well-educated person. Stakeholders have worked together to provide students with rigorous academic and diverse co-curricular programming, preparing students to move forward to post-secondary education. The 2017-2018 school year reflected this purpose through the continuation of academic excellence and student support systems.

North Augusta High School has successfully implemented an advanced placement academy in partnership with the National Math and Science Initiative.  This effort was due to the continued efforts of the North Augusta High School faculty, students, parents, and key community partners. Classroom interventions and program interventions such as the freshman academy continue to be an area of focus and have proved to be extremely successful in student achievement. The School Improvement Council was influential in setting the course for the 2017-2018 school year by supporting the sixth year of implementation of the freshman academy and working to raise awareness of facility needs. They also served as an integral part in the publication of the new five year improvement plan which outlines areas of focus to be the improvement of school-to-home communication, teacher retention, and at-risk programing for end-of-course preparation.

One of the most exciting changes at North Augusta High School was the completion of the construction of the new state of the art academic facility. This construction is the second leg of a plan which will eventually replace the current facility. Under the banner of our shared mantra “Endless Possibilities,” we desire to continue our efforts to create a true community school which serves the needs of all of our stakeholders.
